: Race Day is almost here and we want you to have all the information you need at your fingertips! From the newly designed Mobile App, Social Center, Event Alert System and Runner Tracking - here's how to stay in touch with us!
Event Alert System and Race Day Safety
The color-coded Event Alert System (EAS) will communicate the status of course conditions leading up to and on race day. EAS levels range from Low (Green) to Moderate (Yellow) to High (Red) to Extreme (Black) based primarily on weather, as well as other conditions. (See chart below for more info.) Email, website and social media during race week will inform participants of the current EAS status and provide preparation tips based on advanced weather forecasts. Updates will be posted at the Health and Fitness Expo via color-coded signs or you can visit the information booth.
Familiarize yourself with the EAS prior to race day, remain alert for directions from race officials, announcers and volunteers, and take precautions to prepare properly for varying weather conditions on race day.
Please make sure that we have your most up-to-date emergency contact information on hand by filling out the back of your race number.

Notice Congested Call Cell Conditions Expected
Highly congested cell conditions are expected at the START and FINISH areas of the DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon. We suggest you wait to turn on your tracking until around Mile One, if you experience issues connecting. This will also help to preserve your battery since your phone will continue to try to make a connection when poor cell conditions exist.
